About Every Action Counts
Every Action Counts is a DEFRA funded programme running for three years to March 2009 to encourage national and local voluntary and community sector organisations to work to protect and improve our environment and to deliver sustainable development.
Every Action Counts aims to show how just small local actions can have a significant cumulative national impact, in terms of practical change (such as the amount of energy saved) and public awareness and involvement.
The initiative is designed to help community groups across England become ‘future friendly’ by taking simple everyday actions to benefit themselves and at the same time helping to create a world that is cleaner and greener, fairer and safer for us now and for our children in the future.
