Local authority officers and park volunteers are encouraged to raise the profile of the importance of green spaces by giving new or re-elected members a copy of the Blue Sky Green Space, an advocacy report produced by GreenLink.

Another record breaking year for Green Flag Awards
A record number of applications have been received for this year with 1508 applications from parks, community gardens, cemeteries, allotments and university campuses; this figure includes 189 brand new sites hoping to achieve a Green Flag Award this year. The allocation of sites to judges is now complete and the judging is underway.
