About the competition

As the weather warms up it’s the perfect time to get out and about in your favourite park. Why not grab your camera and snap a winning shot while you’re there?

Postcards from the Park is a chance to celebrate the parks of the UK through images that reflect their role in our every day lives. Open to anyone, the competition has been set up by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), BIG and GreenSpace.

The prizes

£1,000 of Jessops vouchers are up for grabs for the lucky winner and all finalists and category winners will have their photos professionally exhibited at a London gallery.

The photos will also be turned into postcards for distribution at Lottery-funded venues across the UK.

The competition is being promoted in regional and national media as well as through Amateur Photographer and Digital Photographer magazines.

Judges

Celebrated photographer Mike McCartney will be judging the ‘Postcards from the Park 2009’ competition along with Tim Kerr, Director of Operations at PA Photocall and Angela Nicholson, Technical Editor at Amateur Photographer magazine.
