Our vision

The London Parks and Green Spaces Forum’s mission is: “To promote a network of accessible quality green space, as a major contribution towards a healthier and more sustainable world city.”

The London Parks and Green Spaces Forum was established in 2001 through the combined efforts of a number of organisations that shared an interest and involvement in the delivery of park and green space services in and around London.

1. Promote the regeneration, management and sustainable future of London’s parks and green spaces’ objectives;

2. Ensure that London’s parks and green spaces reflect the real needs and aspirations of all Londoners and its visitors;

3. Develop a network for the exchange of expertise, experience and information;

4. Promote an informed approach to planning and management of London parks and green spaces, including the development of consistent data collection and performance indicators across London...

Key Interests

The work of the London Parks and Green Spaces Forum covers a wide range of open space, including parks, commons, allotments, woodlands, playing fields and recreation grounds, play space, nature reserves and other wildlife habitat.

The forum is concerned with both public spaces and spaces to which there is no or limited public access.

The focus of the Forum is on London’s urban parks and open spaces, and the areas of open land beyond the urban environment, which form the London Green Belt...
