Get involved

Membership of the Forum is FREE to Friends of Parks Groups, voluntary and community organisations and individuals with a keen interest in London's green spaces. The London Friends Network meets quarterly at City Hall. Borough Forums of Friends of Parks Groups are being encouraged to send representatives to the pan-London Network meetings, but where these have not yet formed, individual Friends of Parks Groups are welcome to attend.

Core membership of the Forum is open to landowners and managers of parks and green spaces in London. This includes all the 32 London Boroughs, The Royal Parks and the City of London. Subscription is based on a per capita of population basis. Please ask for further details.

Core membership is extended to other landowners and managers, such as the Lee Valley Regional Park, and agencies in the public and voluntary sector, such as the GLA, English Heritage, Natural England and Groundwork, London Wildlife Trust, London Parks and Gardens Trust etc. Please ask for further details.

Private sector landscape contractors who play an influential role in managing London's green spaces are also eligible to join. Please ask for details.

The Forum aims to be the one strategic voice for parks and green spaces in London. It reflects its members' interest at policy level; campaigns and lobbies for resources to be maintained and increased in parks and green spaces; supports its members through information exchange and working groups on strategic planning, biodiversity, access, community safety and inclusion; organises topical seminars; and holds two annual Open Meetings for all members.

Membership of LPGS entitles subscribers to membership of the London Parks and Benchmarking Group and to national charity Green Space.

The Forum only exists with the support of its members, so please consider joining if you have not before.
