Autumn training for Greenspace Managers at Urban Design London
LPGSF, with CABE Space funding, is organising
training for greenspace managers, which we hope our members will find essential to come on or send staff along to. Please note we have a £100 subsidy per place for member boroughs of LPGSF who are not signed up to UDL (usually through their planning departments)and therefore eligible for free training. Please contact Tony Leach to request funding subsidy. For further details of courses and to sign up see

LPGSF to develop a pan-London Volunteering in Green Spaces Strategy
Following the audit of current volunteering in London's green (and 'blue') spaces, that Natural England commissioned the London Parks & Green Spaces Forum to conduct last year, work has begun on developing a strategy that will more easily connect keen volunteers with land managers wanting to involve more volunteers. The Advisory Panel has been reformed and recently met to discuss how to overcome common barriers; capacity and training of volunteers; reconciling the different needs of volunteers and land managers; and the role of environmental volunteering organisations that are placing volunteers.
If you are involved with volunteering in green spaces and would like to contribute to the strategy, please contact
