1 in 7 children have not visited green space this year
A new report,
Sowing the Seeds, published by the London Sustainable Development Commission, highlights the benefits of allowing children to experience the natural environment and identifies successful interventions that enable children under the age of 12 to do so.
Findings show that one in seven children in London has not visited a green space in the past year.

shows a clear role for growing projects in increasing employability.
Olympic VeloPark planned
The Olympic Park Legacy Company has submitted plans for a VeloPark by the design team Hopkins Architects and LDA Hargreaves (designers of the Velodrome and the Olympic parklands).
Consultation is out until 11 January.

A visitor centre and large-scale playground is planned for the south and north park, to the south of the cycle circuit. The
competition designs are on view at the New Architecture Centre in Store St. until 21 January.
