Our vision

To provide a united voice dedicated to promoting, advocating and lobbying for the regeneration and sustainable future of quality green spaces throughout the North West.

GreenSpace North West local authorities have for many years recognised the need to work together to improve the quality of the region’s parks and also to speak with one voice to strategy makers.

Our objectives are clearly defined covering the following broad areas:

Developing networks to encourage partnerships between open space managers across the region

Establishing links with other disciplines such as health, education and crime.

Providing mechanisms for the views of all those responsible for the management and development of the North West’s green spaces to be more clearly heard.

Dissemination of the latest best practice, to provide guidance and advice to members on key issues and give early warnings of new initiatives and funding regimes.

Advocating the importance of green space to strategy makers.
