Square’s Regency Birthday Bash Goes Down A Storm
BBC Television
popped down to film the goings on at Bedford Square on Sunday
July 3rd as people donned Regency Costumes and children enjoyed
the bouncy castle.
Take
a look at the event photos..
There was a chance to relax in the sunshine after sampling
Regency cooking, listen to live music or marvel at the magician’s
tricks. A superb display chronicling the history of the Bedford
Square also attracted a great deal of interest.
Costumed revellers handed out Regency delights like game
pie and ginger cake, while visitors relaxed in the sunshine
and listened to the live band. A fantastic display chronicling
the people and stories of Bedford Square’s 200-year
history was a great crowd-puller.
Liam Mandville, from the Friends of Bedford Square, said,
“It’s been a terrific day. I’ve never seen
so many people in the park before. Everybody’s having
a great time and it was nice to see BBC Television filming
the goings on.”
Young party-goers were captivated by Colin the Clown and
his fabulous magic tricks, while many queued up to be transformed
into tigers and fairies by the talented face-painter. Those
with energy to spare had great fun on the bouncy castle.
