Training workshops
The Park it! team at GreenSpace are currently running FREE interactive training workshops for community groups planning to hold an event in their park across the UK.
The aim of the workshop is to draw on experiences from the first two years of Park it!, hoping to give attendees guidance on organising an event in their local park. These workshops have also proved to be a valuable networking opportunity, encouraging volunteers to share experiences and establish new contacts in their local area. The workshop focuses on:
- Themes for your event
- Activities for your event
- Planning your event
- Promoting your event
- Evaluating your event
Spaces for these workshops are limited and allocated on a strictly first come first serve basis, so contact the Park it! team as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Case Studies
The 2005 and 2006 Park it! events were a great success, attracting over 68,000 people to parks across the UK. A range of case studies are now available to download online. Here you can view pictures, see what everyone got up to over the summer months and find out what the future has in store for our green spaces.

Toolkits

The Park it! team have also put together a comprehensive guide for community groups on how to run an event in a park or green space. This covers the planning and organisation of the day, from early committee meetings to getting insurance, promoting your event, raising funds and what to do on the day.

The Community Network
GreenSpace’s Community Network is the first free support network for community groups and Friends of groups who work with parks and green spaces across the whole of the UK and currently has over 1,900 members.
