 Winter challenges?
I am part of the Stoney Wood group on Wirksworth in Derbyshire. We look after a woodland planted in an old quarry as part of the millennium woodland project.
We had a woodland clearance day about 3 weeks ago which was perishing cold!!!!
I wonder what other groups do during the winter months?

 Winter projects
Hi there,
on BTCV scrub clearances I've been on, we tended to warm up with a big scrub bonfire and some jacket potatoes!
Other groups I've come across have got involved with Every Action Couts EAC, over the winter. Which basically gets your group thinking about how environmentally sustainable they are, ( from indoors! )- and if there are any changes you can make to your community building or admin that sould make you more climate friendly.
My apologies for answering on behalf of Mike Rowan, but his seesion on Ask the Expert is now over. If you'd like to respond to this message - please do so under teh General Discusiion Forum, as we'll be locking this one today.
thanks
