Community Champions

The programme is looking for Community Champions not only to help motivate their own community but also to spread ideas and actions to other groups in their neighbourhoods using the resources which EAC will provide.

If you do put yourself forward please remember to say you found out about it from GreenSpace as we are targeted with telling community groups and individuals all about Every Action Counts.

What experience or qualifications do I need?

No special knowledge or previous experience is needed, just an interest in making a positive difference within your community. You will be completely supported in your role, with full training and ongoing regular support through email, newsletters and forums.

Are you looking for a particular type of person?

No! We welcome Champions from all sections of the community.

What's in it for me?

Volunteering can work as a powerful force for change, both for you and for your wider community.

Through your role as a Champion you will get the satisfaction of knowing that you are will be helping to make difference within your community. Community volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and gain useful experience.
It will also be fun and will help to build your skill and confidence.

Every Action Count will provide you with:
  • Full training (which will be delivered locally)
  • Ongoing support through e mails, newsletters and telephone contact
  • Access to your own forum and special section of the Every Action Counts website.
  • Out of pocket expenses to attend the training etc.
  • You will also receive a certificate following the successful completion of the training

How do I become a Community Champion?

Register your interest in becoming an Every Action Counts Community Champion by contacting BTCV 01302 388 841 or email to everyactioncounts@btcv.org.uk. or through the on-line registration form .

You will then contacted and invited to attend the next available training course.
