Open Meeting 2010 - 12 October, East Grinstead
GreenSpace South East is pleased to announce that bookings for this year's Open Meeting are now being taken. Our annual conference, taking place in East Grinstead on 12 October, will look positively ahead to the future at the challenges and opportunities, covering topics including community involvement, GIS mapping and the political landscape.

here. Attendance is free for our regional members and Green Flag Award judges. For all other organisations there is a nominal charge of £35, reduced to £30 for bookings received before the 31 August. We look forward to seeing you there.
Fields in Trust launch 'Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge'
Prince William and FIT have launched an exciting new scheme to mark the legacy of both Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympics. This national programme aims protect 2012 playing fields in communities all across the country as a permanent living legacy of this great event.

Love Parks Week 2010
Love Parks Week, GreenSpace's annual awareness-raising campaign, took place 24 July - 1 August. 850 events place throughout the UK, with an estimated half a million people taking part.

GreenSpace South East launches online forum
A new internet forum to help local authorities and green space organisations in the south east to interact with each other has been launched.
The GreenSpace South East Online Forum is designed to allow local authorities and other parties with an interest in the management of the region’s parks and green spaces to discuss management approaches to the issues affecting parks and green space.
