E: karenh@green-space.org.uk
Karen Hughes occupies the post on a part time basis working approximately 10am-3pm Monday to Thursday each week based at home near Taunton.
Karen's career in leisure spans over 20 years. After graduating with a degree in Regional Economic Development and Social Biology, she was employed in the market research industry in London before joining local government where she has worked in housing benefits, finance and planning. But it is her time in the leisure sector that means that she brings a good understanding of the issues facing Greenspace and its members in the south west: she has been responsible for marketing, events, policy, fundraising and more latterly partnership working , community empowerment and capital investments.
